WHAT IS AN ONPOINT CONVERSATION?

An OnPoint Conversation is one which nails both the delivery and the message. Too often conversations are off point with bad delivery or a sloppy message. Or worse still, completely pointless. When a conversation is off point, it leads to huge waste - wasted time, wasted energy, wasted opportunity.

Imagine if you could deal with the hard stuff as it occurred, get it sorted, and get on with life. What a relief that would be. Well, I can help with that!

If you are prone to ignore the hard conversations until you either “go to war” or the situation resolves itself (normally someone leaving, you leaving or you lowering your expectations to meet the situation). Or if you have a habit of needing to spend a lot of time tidying up after a hard conversation gone wrong, then I can help.

Too many situations go on for far too long because people don’t have the confidence or explicit skills to jump into the fray and back themselves to talk about the hard stuff. It’s a huge waste.

I’m on a mission to equip people with the skills and confidence to back themselves to have these conversations. Trust me, I can help.

OnPoint Conversations can turn up in these situations:

  • Needing to give someone feedback

  • Having to deliver an unpopular message

  • Finding your voice as a new member to a team

  • Finding your voice as a minority in the workplace

  • Dealing with strong personalities

  • Convincing others of a dissenting view

  • Stating your needs plainly and articulately

  • Giving feedback up the chain

  • Generally any situation that you have been avoiding!

“It felt so good to have the conversation. I can’t believe I avoided it for so long. Finally, I feel in charge of the situation. Thanks Mel for showing me I could do it”. VP
